Holy Week and Easter at Grace
Sunday of the Passion: Palm Sunday Service at 8:00 a.m., and Procession of the Palms for all ages at 9:30. Maundy Thursday 6:00 - 8:00 pm The evening begins with an Agape Meal, followed by Holy Eucharist with foot washing, and Stripping of the Altar. Nursery will be available. This service is specifically designed for families to experience the story together. We gather around a quiet table. We share a simple meal. There is something hopeful — and something uncertain — in the air as we hear Jesus say, “Love one another like this…” Through the tender act of foot washing, children experience a powerful story of service and compassion. Good Friday Noon (in person and on livestream) Solemn services with music. Easter Day Note: The 5:30 a.m. sunrise gathering is on hiatus this year. Celebration of the Feast of the Resurrection of our Lord. 8:00 a.m. (in person only) and 10:00 a.m. (in person and on livestream) 10:00 a.m. service is family-friendly. Grace’s classrooms will be hopping with Easter-themed crafts, games, and fun surprises.* After the service, join us for a festive coffee hour featuring a bounce house for kids. *Missing the Easter Egg hunt? Join us at the Community Egg Dash on April 4. Find out more here. |

Dark Skies: Why it Matters
Every year, billions of birds migrate north in the spring and south in the fall, most of them flying at night, navigating by the night sky. However, as they pass over big cities, they can become disoriented by bright artificial lights and skyglow, often colliding with buildings or windows. While lights can throw birds off their migration paths, fatalities are more directly caused by the energy birds waste flying around and calling out in confusion. The exhaustion can then leave them vulnerable. Come find out more at this family-friendly event on Sunday, April 19, from 3-5 p.m. at the Village Green in Kingston. For more information about International Dark Sky Week from April 13 – 20, contact Deborah Milton.
