Rolling Bay Presbyterian Youth Group Gives Big Boost to Gifts of Dirt Garden
Cory Dunn, the youth group director at Rolling Bay Presbyterian, created a “service week camp” and forged his own youth group and youth from Spokane. On Wednesday, July 15th, a combined group of 25 set up sun tents and worked with cheer, energy, and stamina in the 88-degree sun. They scrubbed and swept the 90-foot hoop house sparkling clean, built a 400-foot rabbit fence, processed 82 lbs. of garlic, created flower bouquets for the food bank, weeded, and replaced a tire on a wheelbarrow! They seemed indefatigable and even fueled by the hot weather. It was an amazing privilege to spend a day in the garden with these wonderful people. Great thanks to all of them. — Pegge Ashcroft For more infomation visit:

Men’s Group PilgrimageThursday, August 6–9 This year’s Men’s Group Pilgrimage will be a circumnavigation of Wynoochee Lake. With side hikes, paddling, and fishing opportunities to be enjoyed over the course of four days and 12 reasonably gentle miles, we should have ample time for fellowship. Other suggestions are, of course, welcome. Please contact Robert Cromwell by July 24 if you are interested in participating, so we can set up cook teams and coordinate. |
