Children and youth begin worship in the sanctuary with their families. Families with younger children are welcome to sit near the altar by the Children’s Rug, where little ones can engage in quiet activities. After the opening prayer, children are invited to the middle of the room for a brief, imaginative Children’s Moment. Then, accompanied by their teachers, they walk a short distance to their own learning spaces.
• Younger children: tactile storytelling and hands-on activities
• Older elementary: conversation, activities, and Bible exploration
• Middle school: games and deeper Bible study
Children return to the sanctuary to join the congregation for communion.
We believe that service is a great way to belong to a community, especially for families and young people, and we offer ways to get involved here at Grace and beyond.
Through our partnership with the Suquamish Community Kitchen, teens and families with children as young as five help host community dinners every other month, serving about 70–75 meals each evening.
Families also serve throughout the year alongside community partners such as Fishline Food Bank, Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center, and World Relief.
Grace offers many fun and meaningful ways for families to connect and grow.
Each fall our church gathers for an intergenerational weekend at Seabeck Conference Center on the Puget Sound.
Game nights, beach outings, potlucks, and Family Home Group socials help families build friendships.
Parents can connect through monthly Parents’ Chat meetings and twice-monthly Mom’s Morning Retreat gatherings.
A week full of fun, creativity, and connection for children in preschool through sixth grade.
Advent Pageant
Grace’s youth lead our beloved pageant, bringing the Advent story to life through music, costumes, and storytelling.
…and so much more.
