Soul ReflectionsBeginning this Sunday, October 4 Have you ever wanted to share your reactions to something that stirred in you during the Sunday service? Perhaps it was a question the homily raised, an emotional response to the music, or something said during the Children’s Moment. It could even be the light streaming in the sanctuary. Soul Reflections is a new small group during which you can share your thoughts. A Grace member will facilitate each meeting every Sunday after the 9:30 service. Hope you can come! |

Souls to the PollsOutreach at Grace A couple of weeks ago, Rev. Eric shared his thoughts and hopes about the next phase, or Act 3, of “Outreach at Grace.” One goal is to identify, share, and facilitate outreach programs in our community. This involves informing our family at Grace about opportunities and inviting those who discern a call to participate in these endeavors. Below is an invitation from Bridget Berry. —Deacon Scott Deasy Civic engagement is a key way we in the Christian community live out our faith. Grace is organizing a Souls to the Polls drive! We will offer transportation for registered voters in our community to the drop box on Madison Avenue. Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day. Ballots in Kitsap County will be mailed out on October 9. We will be providing transportation to the drop box from October 12 to November 3. If you can volunteer to drive voters to the drop box, would like a ride, or know someone who needs transportation, please get in touch with Scott Deasy at (928) 606-2098 or Bridget Berry at (206) 842-5607. |

Community Events
YWCA Annual Gala YWCA Kitsap will host A Bold and Beautiful Evening of Impact, its annual gala, at the Bremerton Conference Center. This year’s event is especially meaningful after the devastating fire at one of the shelters earlier this year. The community showed up for us then, and we are asking our community to show up again. October Memory Cafe Friday, October 16, 10:00–11:30 am Bainbridge Island Fire Department Station 21 A memory café is a social gathering for individuals living with memory loss and their care partners. Take time out of your day to relax, socialize, and meet people who are experiencing the challenges of memory loss or caring for someone who is. This month's cafe will feature the musical talent of Jess Henderson. Coffee, tea, and light snacks will be served. |
Making Strides Seattle Against Breast Cancer WalkOctober 10, 9:00 am – 12 pm Some things can’t be said, they can only be walked together. Join Grace in walking to support our own Kim Cockroft and all those affected by breast cancer. Making Strides Seattle, hosted by the American Cancer Society, is a wonderful way to show support while helping raise money and awareness for breast cancer prevention, treatment, and a cure. Sometimes when we feel helpless, moving forward — together — is exactly what we can do. Please see the details below and sign up! This is a family- and dog-friendly event. Please contact Emi Serrato with any questions. Walk starts at 10:30 am at Pier 62 (1951 Alaskan Way, Seattle). No car needed, as it is just north of the ferry terminal. Walk options: 1-mile or 2.5-mile loop (all down the Waterfront/ Alaskan Way) |
