Members of the Grace Episcopal Community:

It is with a heavy heart that I am resigning my position as Music Director at Grace. Recently, I was offered the opportunity to take a position as CFO/Assistant General Manager at the University Club in Seattle. Many of you know that I currently teach piano lessons, gig with bands, DJ, drive a school bus, maintain my work here at Grace, as well as an Executive Director position in Washington for the Club Management Association of America. Carrying this many part-time jobs can often be taxing on myself and my family. This new opportunity was not sought after, but was offered to us. It will provide much needed schedule stability, financial stability, and benefits for my family. I will begin the process of transitioning to this position in early March, and Easter Sunday will be my last week as the leader of the Grace Music Circle. I’ll be working a little bit more sporadically at Grace through March, but will still be available.

I am wildly grateful for the opportunity that you all provided for me, and for the joy of having been with you at Grace over the past couple of years. It was a much-needed transition in my life. My family and I will continue to attend Grace Episcopal, and participate in music, when and how I am able. This is definitely my church home — not because I am a staff member, but because you all have become my church family. I carry much love and admiration for this church and its congregants.

God’s peace,
Jordan
