Grace Episcopal Church 2025 Stewardship Campaign Update

Grace Episcopal Church 2025 Stewardship Campaign Update

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11

Grace’s Stewardship Campaign, “Hope for the Future,” is now in its final week and we remain hopeful that we will achieve 100% participation from our congregation. This past Sunday, Rev. Eric challenged us with hopeful guidance in his stewardship sermon, and Wendy Tyner inspired us with her testimonial on how her many special moments at Grace have informed her stewardship decisions for the year ahead.

We are edging closer to our goal of raising the $750,000 needed to fund Grace’s ministry operations and beautiful church building and grounds in the coming year, but we can’t cross the finish line without everyone’s participation. Grace Church depends almost entirely on your support, so we hope every Grace household will pledge online or by returning a paper pledge card by mail or in the Sunday collection baskets.

Campaign Progress as of November 12, 2024

Campaign Goal: $750,000

Progress to date

Households Pledging: 107
Total Amount Pledged: $554,908
Total Match Earned: $20,470
Grand Total To Date: $575,378

Journey Remaining

Households Still Outstanding: 104
Remaining Goal Amount: $195,092
Remaining Match Available: $1,530
Hopeful Total Remaining: $196,622

Extra pledge packets are available in the narthex, and more details about the campaign are available online.

Questions? Email Tootie Kuhn. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!

Children, Youth and Family Ministries

Children, Youth and Family Ministries

When you arrive for the 9:30 a.m. Sunday service, please bring your children with you into the sanctuary; and feel free to sit by the altar near the Children’s Rug so your children can engage with others in quiet activities. After the Children’s Moment, they will be guided by their teachers to two learning spaces: one for younger children with more tactile storytelling and activities, and one for older children. Together, we build community through story, ritual, and fun activities before your children join you again for communion in the sanctuary. Youth are always welcome to join us as helpers for the younger children!

Convention Report – Part II

Our Diocesan Convention occurred a couple weeks ago in Tacoma. A HUGE SHOUT OUT to our convention delegates: Jim Quitslund, Randy Otto, Molly Ryan, Wendy Tyner, Nancy Beck, Mary Ellen de la Pena, and Scott Deasy.

In last week’s eNews we included a summary of convention highlights (click here for link to that story).

Love God, Love God’s World

Love God, Love God’s World

Grace is hosting a cohort of 10 to 12 individuals in The Episcopal Church’s new program “Love God, Love God’s World,” which was developed by the Creation Care Ministry. “Love God, Love God’s World” is a nine-session course, each lasting 60 to 75 minutes, patterned upon “Sacred Ground.” The first session to be held at Grace on Tuesday, January 14, from 6:30-8:00 pm. The following sessions will be held via Zoom every two weeks. The sessions will be held in the evening, at a time most convenient to the members of the cohort. As was the case for “Sacred Ground” there will be about 1.5 to 2 hours of material to be reviewed prior to each session. This will include both written and video material.

We invite you to review the curriculum at this link.

Our facilitators for the program are:

Marcy Lagerloef, John Kydd, and Scott Deasy

Please feel free to reach out to Scott at: jscottdeasy@gmail.com or 928.606.2098
